Savage Horticulture Limited is a licensee of the UMF™ Honey Association (Licence # 1075)

UMF™ is an internationally recognised and verified quality trademark backed by scientific research, standardised testing and an independent auditing process.

Customers can ensure they are purchasing genuine UMF™ Manuka Honey by checking the following criteria:

1. UMF™ is displayed on the label
2. UMF™ rating is at least 5+ or higher
3. UMF™ licensee name and number is displayed on the label
4. UMF™ licensee name and number are registered on www.umf.org.nz
5. The Manuka honey is harvested, packed and labelled in New Zealand

Savage Horticulture Limited is a Registered Exporter with the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI). New Zealand exporters must be on the Registered Exporters list to apply for export certificates to export Manuka honey.

An export certificate is a type of official assurance, providing an importing country with confirmation from the New Zealand Government (MPI) that WildCape Manuka Honey meets the necessary standards and requirements.

As a registered exporter Savage Horticulture Limited must perform the following duties:

• Ensure our products meet relevant New Zealand standards
• Comply with relevant export eligibility requirements
• Report to MPI if our products are no longer fit for purpose or are refused entry by a destination country
• Keep appropriate records

Savage Horticulture Limited operates under a Risk Management Programme (RMP) which is registered and independently verified by the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI).

Savage Horticulture Limited’s RMP is a legally binding written programme designed to ensure WildCape Manuka Honey is ‘fit for purpose’ – safe, suitable and truthfully labelled.

Savage Horticulture Limited has been granted the FernMark Licence No. 100136. 

All WildCape Manuka Honey carries a FernMark logo and licence number – a country of origin symbol for New Zealand issued by the New Zealand Government.
